Jenna “Marbles” Mourey and her boyfriend Julien Solomita are the co-hosts of the Jenna & Julien Podcast. What is the Jenna & Julien Podcast you might ask? Well, as stated in their iTunes Podcast description:
Jenna Marbles has a popular YouTube channel that has generated over 15 million subscribers. Jenna provides hilarious insights and entertainment on everyday life and has been creating content for the popular video-sharing website for the past five years. Her videos often contain explicit language and surprisingly helpful advice like this one and this one.
Julien Solomita, also a fellow YouTube content creator, posts weightlifting videos and vlogs on his channel. He also has a pretty exciting Vine collection. The two began dating in 2013 and have since worked on some fantastic collaborations together. The Jenna & Julien Podcast is one of those great, weird, exotic, and absurd gems that keeps you laughing all throughout the day. They've been going about their podcast shenanigans since August of 2014 and are up to episode #79 thus far.
Their podcast is recorded in conjunction with video, of which they post the audio version on iTunes and SoundCloud, and the video version on YouTube. Podfly is proud to announce that we edit both their audio and video podcasts. While video editing is not a part of the main facet and services offered by Podfly, Jenna’s & Julien's charm/voodoo trickery prevented us from saying no. Check them out!
Podcasting is fun. It’s also hard work. Not surprising that since the dawn of this medium, podcasters have been crafting ways to make the fun pay off. Traditional advertising methods work for a select few - an estimated 0.05% of podcasters monetize their show via direct sponsorship - and finding vertical opportunities by leveraging your own business works for others. But what about those who neither have a large online listenership nor a business directly tied to their podcast?
Podfly’s Corey Coates takes you through the first of a series of tutorials on anything you might want to know about setting up a podcast. These specialization videos will focus primarily on Adobe’s Audition software, but this particular one is all about the basics and how to get started. Learn how to position your introduction, remove annoying ‘ums’, turn a few stumbling sentences into a natural conversation and much more.
With over 45 minutes of step-by-step teaching, complete with pre-recorded audio clips and examples, you should hopefully come away with a lot of questions answered. That said, the Podfly Academy Team hope it’ll also leave you itching to find out more and really get to grips with this sophisticated piece of programming which could just change your life.
Once you’ve worked through all the tutorials, you’ll be the one answering everybody else’s questions!
